Si Senor Mexican restaurant

Had a chance to have some lunch today at the recently opened Si Senor mexican restaurant in the old Cartucci's building on the plaza on Williamson Road and Brawley School Road and I'll give them two thumbs up. Fresh chips, salsa, and pico de gallo for starters, I had a tasty chicken burrito with rice and pico for $4.75. My 12 year old son had ACP and said wow, this chicken is good. Friendly waitstaff and comfortable seating. Next time back I'll have to give the margarita's a try.

here's a link to their website and menu Bookmark and Share

Mother's Day at Shoals

Had a great dinner with my family at Shoals on Brawley School road yesterday. The Filet Mignon was awesome and it's Prime Beef. Only 2% of the restaurants in the U.S. serve prime, give it a try and tell Keith that Annie sent you. Bookmark and Share

JJ Wasabi's in downtown Mooresville a.k.a. DoMo

if you're a fan of sushi then head on down to downtown Mooresville and check out the new restaurant now open called JJ Wasabi's. It is another creation of the popular Joel's Asian Grille on Williamson Rd. The menu offers up the same delicious treats as Joels in a great new setting on Main Street complete with sidewalk seating. We recently bumped into four other families we know enjoying the some sushi and japanese food in a new hip and cool location. When you get a chance check it out.

Ace Hardware on Brawley School Road

Another convenience for those who live down Brawley School Road, Ace Hardware wil be opening a new store in The Bloom shopping area.

The Brawley school road widening project is really coming along nicely, for the lake norman real estate buyers looking at homes in The Point and the other communities take advantage of the deals that are out there cause they won't last forever. That home at 465k in The Point I wrote about recently went conditional shortly after I mentioned it. I've seen some amazing deals for buyers and then again I've also had some buyers that either get way too picky on "deal" homes as investors or try to lowball prices when they really are already there. I had an investor who lost a home that he tried to get for 35k less than the already low-low price in fact 300k less than it sold for 3 years ago, bank rejected it and it sold at very close to what the bank wanted so someone got a great deal and my investor got nothing cause he got a little too greedy. We know the deals in The Point when we see them and will help you with proper valuation. Carolina Ribs on the Run

Just recently went to Randy Rodecki's new restaurant Carolina Ribs on The Run, next door to Family Video on Brawley School Road, and I must say......WOW.....those ribs are awesome, and my boys loved them as well. So much in fact we went 2 days in a row to feast. If you haven't had a chance to check them out I urge you to do so. Great job Randy!

Have you been to Kerrigans Ice Cream store yet?

Although the Brawley traffic can be exhausting it is nice to see the incredible growth in this area and a great place to take a break is at Kerrigans ice cream, a family owned and operated neighborhood Ice Cream Parlor. They are located in the area next Family Video and Sebastano's on Brawley School Road. Kerrigan's offers an inviting atmosphere that is a throw back to the 1950's, complete with soda fountain decor, music from that era, and good, old-fashioned service. It's a great place to host a child's birthday party as well and the ice cream is yummy! The Petroski's have done a great job, plan to give them a visit if you haven't already. Bookmark and Share

The Wine Loft

If you haven't visited the new Wine Loft bar next to the new Harris Teeter on 150 I would recommend you do so. They have a full bar, an appetizer menu and a very cool, comfortable living room vibe going on. The owner, Clark Johnson, who is from New Orleans, has put together an nice upscale themed bar. Sort of feels like I'm in a Miami Beach bar with the draperies and couches, really nice for conversation. This a great choice for a night out, and be looking for La Crema Chardonnay on the wine menu soon and also be looking for the band Pointless to kick things up soon. You can visit them online at http://www.thewineloftmooresville.com/ Bookmark and Share

Bloom Grocery Store

How convenient to finally have a grocery store a bit closer to us here in The Point. What's funny to Peter and I is we have yet to go there and not run into someone we know. Bloom is the Mooresville version of "Cheers" where everybody knows your name. Bookmark and Share
