Lake Norman Region Home Sales Closing Strong in 2013, Most Price Segments up

After a slight pause during the government shutdown, contractual activity in the luxury space at Lake Norman is finishing the 2013 year strongly moving into the final month of the year. 502 homes priced over 500,000 have sold, including 95 over 1 million dollars compared to totals in the low 400′s last year.

In the ultra luxury range, 19 homes have sold above 2 million, doubling 2012′s total of 9 estate homes. Leading the way was the Cornelius area with 12 transactions over 2 million, and The Peninsula Club, which saw unit sales over 500,000 increase from 37 units to 62 this year. River Run Country club in Davidson also saw a large increase, with sold units increasing from 19 to 37 units over 500k this year. The Point, home to the recently acquired Trump National Golf Club, saw results very similar to 2012, with this year’s total of 47 homes coming in very close to the 48 sold last year.  Other popular communities this year include Mooresville’s The Farms, and Bay Crossing, Denver’s Sailview, and Robbins Park, one of the few emerging new construction communities in Cornelius.
